How do I know if therapy is

Right for me?
No matter what you’re facing as a couple,
couples counseling can help.

Whether you’re committed to making your marriage work or you’re on the fence about your relationship, therapy is a great place to begin building a better future. Couples counseling works for all sorts of couples, including couples struggling with conflict and couples who simply struggle to communicate.

If the problems in your relationship seem overwhelming, reach out. We’re here to help.

 What is Therapy like?

All couples counselors are different. Here’s a little about what you can expect when you work with me.

0 1

First, we’ll explore what’s happening in your relationship.

During our first few sessions, we’ll talk about the challenges, problems, and conflicts you’re facing as a couple. We’ll also spend time talking about your strengths and your hopes for the future. Then we’ll set goals and make a plan.

0 2

Next, we’ll use that plan to figure out what tools, skills, and techniques will help the most in your relationship.

Together, we’ll work on learning, developing, and practicing these new skills, and we’ll figure out what’s working in your relationship and what’s not. We’ll also explore any deeper issues or conflicts that are getting in the way of making the changes that matter most.

0 3

Then, we’ll spend time building upon your strengths as a couple and nurturing your bond.

That might mean learning how to prioritize your relationship, finding new ways to connect, or talking through old memories and moments from the past. Together, you and your partner will rebuild your friendship and rekindle your spark.

Finally, we’ll create a plan to make these positive changes permanent.

In this final phase of our work together, you and your partner will focus on cultivating the relationship you’ve always dreamed of and creating the life you really want - together.

Are you going to make me feel

like the bad guy in my marriage?

The good news is that there are no “good guys” or “bad guys” in couples counseling. I’ll help you (and your partner!) explore your individual contributions to the challenges in your relationship, and we’ll work together to figure out how you and your partner want to make things better as a couple. Couples counseling isn’t about finding someone to blame. It’s about learning how to fix things together.

How long will therapy take?

How long therapy takes will depend on a lot of different factors, including your personal goals and needs. Although many clients begin to experience benefits after a few sessions, most clients plan to spend at least 6 months in couples counseling to reap the full benefits of therapy.

My partner doesn’t want to come to couples counseling? Can I still come to therapy?

Yes! If you’re struggling with your relationship, therapy is a great place to work through your challenges. I specialize in helping individuals and couples work through difficult issues in their relationships, and we can focus on those issues even if your partner isn’t in the room.

What are your fees?
